Done deal: Inter agree to sell Correa to Marseille

Inter and Olympique Marseille have reached a total agreement for transfer for Joaquin Correa, who’ll undergo his medicals with the Ligue 1 side tomorrow, Gianluca Di Marzio details.

The 29-year-old Argentinian striker is on the way out of the Lombardy capital after an unconvincing two-year spell, having joined from Lazio in a deal worth over €30m.

Correa managed just 10 goals and five assists in 77 appearances across all competitions for Inter, not hitting the mark in Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

As reported by Di Marzio, Inter have now reached a total agreement with Marseille for the sale of Correa, who is expected to move on a loan deal with a €15m conditional obligation to buy clause attached.

Moving the other way is Alexis Sanchez, who is set to return to the Nerazzurri after a year in the French Riveira. The 34-year-old Chilean forward left the club on a free transfer last month, having netted 18 goals in 44 total appearances.
