Donadoni: ‘Ready to return’

Roberto Donadoni hopes to return to the bench “as soon as possible”, but being Milan Coach one day “doesn’t only depend on me”.

The former Italy CT has been out of work since leaving Bologna in the summer, but is now ready to take another job.

“I’m ready to return,” Donadoni said on Radio Rai 1.

“I hope it’ll be as soon as possible but let’s see what happens. I’m not desperate, but I want to go back to coaching.

“Milan? It doesn’t only depend on me, there would have to be the departure of someone else, but it seems to me now that the Rossoneri are catching up.

“I hope that [Gennaro] Gattuso can hit a new streak of wins, because he has a squad to fight for the top positions.”

Donadoni was also asked if anyone can challenge Juventus for the Scudetto this season.

“The Bianconeri are seen as something above the others, but it’s clear that Napoli, Inter and Roma, but also Lazio, can cause problems for them.

“The big difference between Juve and the others though is the consistency of results, which is a result of their mentality.”
