Roberto Donadoni admits his Bologna team have failed to achieve their aims this season after defeat to Crotone.
The Rossoblu were beaten 1-0 by the Pitagorici this afternoon, meaning they are winless in their last five matches.
Speaking after defeat against the out-of-form relegation strugglers, Donadoni accepted full responsibility for the result.
“We didn’t start well,” Donadoni lamented. “After the goal, Crotone created a lot. We need to look to be more incisive in the defensive area.
“I didn’t manage to get my ideas across during the week. The responsibility is mine.
“There was a reaction in the second half, but we need to be better from the first second.”
The former Italy Coach, who is expected to leave Bologna at the end of the season, acknowledges his side’s season as a whole has been below-par.
“We still have some matches to play, today we could have ended any talk of relegation.
“We have missed out on some points, many due to our own faults.
“We have tried to do our best, but we haven’t managed to get what we wanted.
“Now we have to honour this season as well as we can, then we will resolve everything.
“It’s clear that today I am not happy.”
