Roberto Donadoni promised Massimo Coda will “get more playing time if he continues like this,” inspiring Parma’s win at Chievo.
Coda came off the bench to score one and set up another in their 3-2 victory.
“Honestly, we were in the game throughout, even when 1-0 down, but we just needed that extra bit of determination,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“Coda gave us that spark after the break. Chievo were grittier in the first half and created a few problems, even though I have to say their goal was more down to our distraction than their quality.
“We played an open game, exactly as we did against Milan, but the only difference was the result,” he added referring to last week’s 5-4 defeat.
“Coda did very well on loan in Slovenia and he immediately gave me positive sensations this season. If he continues working with this determination, then it’s easier for him to get more playing time.
“Everyone needs to understand that modern football is hard work and running.”
