They became the first club to secure three consecutive promotions from the amateur league to top flight and consolidation their status this term with 11th place.
In a lengthy statement, it was announced this morning that Faggiano has decided to move on.
“This club, from the owners to every single employee, represents a family for me, so that is why it was not an easy decision,” wrote the director on their official website.
“After careful reflection, I believed it was only fair to myself and the people who I spent so many years working with. It’s right to say goodbye at the end of this season after a long journey together, full of obstacles, but above all great joy.
“After four very intense years, I realised that I needed a new challenge, because I feel that I’ve given my all and cannot dig out anything more within me that I feel necessary to do my work.
“The Parma owners understood my decision and showed yet again this is a family I’ll carry in my heart forever.”
