Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi believes his side deserved to win against Salernitana, although they must be more clinical.
Sassuolo returned to winning ways, beating Salernitana 1-0 thanks to a goal from Domenico Berardi.
“We missed so much to win at home, I think we deserved it and we could have killed off the game earlier,” Dionisi told DAZN.
“Salernitana never give up, they deserve respect, but I am happy with the performance and we deserved to win,” the 41-year-old added.
“We have strong players, but they are still very young. We aren’t too clinical after Caputo’s sale, but I am sure we’ll get satisfaction this season.
“We are not perceived as I would like, I assess the performances and I am convinced that we have room for improvement.
“Salernitana had a few chances. In Serie A, you can pay a high price if you don’t kill off the games.”
