Dimarco joins Lautaro Martinez on Inter treatment table

After Lautaro Martinez, Inter also risk ending 2023 without Federico Dimarco, who has been diagnosed with a muscular problem.

The after-effects of the Coppa Italia exit to Bologna, decided 2-1 in extra time at San Siro on Wednesday night, are starting to be felt going into the final two fixtures of the calendar year.

Lautaro Martinez is expected to miss both the encounter with Lecce on Saturday and visit to Genoa on December 29 with an adductor strain.

A statement released this evening confirms that Dimarco underwent tests which showed a muscular issue in the adductor of the left thigh.

His condition will be re-evaluated over the next few days, so he will certainly not face Lecce tomorrow and remains a major doubt for the Genoa game too.

Dimarco was on the bench for the Coppa Italia Round of 16 defeat to Bologna, but came on to give his contribution.

He now has 21 competitive appearances for Inter so far this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
