“I consider myself to be a Trequartista,” stated the Euro 2012 player. “However, I then need to do what the Coach asks of me…”
Diamati was used in that role in Modena, but he – and the rest of the side – struggled to impress against one of Europe’s minnows.
“I did a few good things, but they just sat back and defended which made things very difficult,” the former West Ham man stated.
“It was really hard to find some space, they remained deep and were committing systematic fouls. Things improved in the second half, but I was given no room in the first period.”
