“I expect to see a team who have improved, particularly in a physical sense, compared to the match against Cagliari,” Di Biagio said at a press conference.
“I hope to see a braver and more attacking SPAL side who can create in our opponents’ half.
“There will certainly be changes. We’ve had several physical issues, so I can confirm there will be several changes.
“Sometimes it’s not always the case that the coach has his team in mind the day before.”
SPAL lost their first game back against Cagliari on Tuesday and travel to the San Paolo seven points adrift of Serie A safety.
“I told the lads to be responsible, to realise what we’re playing for. Sometimes, as players, you don’t realise the dramatic situation you’re in.
“In my opinion we’ll see [improvements] soon, but time is running out.”
