In demand Siena striker Mattia Destro has revealed his first choice destination if he does leave the Tuscan club – Sunday’s opponents Napoli.

Destro’s form in recent months, both with Giuseppe Sannino’s side in Serie A and with Ciro Ferrara’s Italy Under-21s, has seen him linked with a move to any number of clubs. Inter and Juventus are both reportedly tracking his progress, even as Siena insist he is not moving until at least the summer.

With the Robur preparing to face Napoli in Week 19, the 20-year-old striker took the chance to reveal his admiration and preference towards Walter Mazzarri’s team.

“I’d like to one day play at the San Paolo in Napoli’s shirt because the Azzurri have a squad full of champions,” the former Inter youth told Radio Crc, before assuring fans that it is not a distraction heading into this weekend.

“Sunday will be an important game for Siena, who need the points. We will face a great team but we will still give it our all.

“Napoli have some very strong players, especially in attack. For now, I want to only do well for Siena and collect as many points as possible and as quickly as possible in order to reach our goal.

“What matters now is beating Napoli and getting three points. Playing alongside Emanuele Calaio makes me happy, with him I can express myself.”
