Marco Busiello, the agent of Diego Demme, has suggested that Napoli do no intend to sell his client this month.
The 31-year-old German midfielder has hardly featured this season under Luciano Spalletti, only playing 19 minutes of action across three Serie A games. Demme did feature a little more prominently last season, seeing 1038 minutes on the pitch over 25 games, and is contracted to the club until June 2024.
Speaking to Radio Punto Nuovo, Busiello first discussed how his client feels this season, amid the limited minutes and various transfer market rumours.
“He is very happy, happy because things are going well at squad level. It cannot be otherwise.”
He touched on the German midfielder’s relationship with coach Spalletti.
“Diego is a very simple guy in certain aspects, he is not a person who creates problems. The relationship is very calm, there have never been shocks of any kind, never any disagreement.”
Finally, Busiello discussed Demme’s future and if Napoli are looking to sell the player in this month’s transfer window.
“On the possibility of leaving, it’s very unlikely at the moment because Napoli have confirmed Demme, they want to keep him and have no intention of selling him.”
Demme joined Napoli from RB Leipzig in January 2020 in a deal worth around €10.25m. Since his arrival, the German midfielder has scored five goals and provided five assists across 85 appearances.
