However, due to the structure of Serie A’s parachute payments, the visitors will receive more money if the Rosanero remain in the top-flight at Carpi’s expense, something which the Biancorossi have raised concerns about.
“Parachute payments? I hope there isn’t a need for money for a second year,” Del Neri said in his pre-match Press conference.
“Verona deserve to return to Serie A immediately. We want to show that we deserved more, we’ll put our best team out tomorrow.
“We’ve always performed well, especially in recent games, we’ll play our game and see what happens.
“It’s also down to Carpi, who must win in Udine. We’ll do our best.”
