The agent of Genoa defender Sebastien De Maio confirms Milan Coach Clarence Seedorf “requested him personally.”
These two clubs have done business numerous times, so a transfer for the 27-year-old over the summer would not be a surprise.
“I too have heard that Milan are interest, as Seedorf requested him personally,” agent Diego Tavano told Calciomercato.com.
“At an official level, as an agent, I haven’t had contact with Milan yet. Now we need to wait and see what can happen. At the moment, we haven’t gone past this being a possibility.
“De Maio is a player who hadn’t been able to express himself at the top level, partly due to bad luck and other situations, but now in Serie A he is proving what he can really do.
“He’s a centre-back who knows how to start moves from the back and players with these characteristics are of interest to many clubs, naturally.
“Clearly Milan are a top club, so they’d be a dream for De Maio. It would certainly be a very interesting option.”
De Maio scored two goals in 21 Serie A appearances for Genoa this season, having joined in July from Brescia.
He has been in Italy since 2006 when leaving the Nancy youth academy for Brescia, including loan spells at Celano Marsica and Frosinone.
