The Ducali must do without injured hitman Gervinho, which puts even more pressure on Roberto Inglese to deliver against his old club.
“The lads were quite shaken, because on Tuesday we had both Gervinho’s injury and the far more serious knee ligament tear for Alberto Grassi,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“This shows just how united the players are and it felt as if we’d all been hurt. Having said that, the players at our disposal have different characteristics, but are just as strong and I have confidence. Antonio Di Gaudio and Luca Siligardi return, while we’ve added Jacopo Dezi to the list.
“We mustn’t think about Chievo’s season as a whole, but only the two games they’ve had under Domenico Di Carlo, where they’ve shown real balance and the old Chievo spirit. Holding Napoli and Lazio to a draw is no mean feat and we’ll need balance and belief to bring the result home.
“I believe Chievo will play for the win, unlike Frosinone last week who were mainly trying to avoid defeat. It’s important to remain tight, because their football can lead you to getting stretched out and creating spaces.”
Parma squad for Chievo: Bagheria, Frattali, Sepe; Bastoni, Bruno Alves, Gagliolo, Gazzola, Gobbi, Iacoponi; Barillà, Deiola, Dezi, Rigoni, Scozzarella, Stulac; Biabiany, Ceravolo, Ciciretti, Di Gaudio, Inglese, Siligardi, Sprocati
