Bryan Cristante’s agent met with Roma’s management today to discuss the vice-captain’s possible contract renewal.
The 26-year-old Italian midfielder is currently contracted to the Giallorossi until 2024 and he’s currently one of the lowest paid players in the first team, only earning around €1.5m net per season plus add-ons.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Cristante’s agent Giuseppe Riso met with Roma’s general manager Tiago Pinto to ask for an update on the contract renewal that would tie him to the club until 2026.
Roma cannot give any guarantees currently given the Jose Mourinho situation, but Cristiane is one of the players they’d like to keep, so things will likely progress quickly down the line. It’s too early for the two parties to reach an agreement, which is set to include a raise to around €2.5m net per season, but neither side are concerned, for now.
Cristante has made 30 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2327 minutes. In that time, he’s scored two goals and provided one assist.
