Carles Perez scored the only goal in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 32 at the Stadio Olimpico, ending a run of one draw from their last five competitive games.
“The coach has his ideas and we are trying to put them into action as well as we can. When we defend too deep, it becomes more difficult to play his style, so we need to push up more,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.
“It’s clear for all to see we’re not in our best form right now. It was important to win, keep a clean sheet and bring home the victory, even if not as spectacular as we’d like.
“At this moment, it was important to find balance, not concede goals and ensure we were solid. We’re not the first team to have this difficult period, we won’t be the last.
“Sometimes situations pile up and create a block, but we can rebuild from this match, try to win as many games as possible to rebuild confidence and then get back to our usual playing style.”
