Mircea Lucescu has advised Douglas Costa to ignore interest from the likes of Milan to stay with Shakhtar Donetsk for ‘at another year’.
Speculation this week is that the Rossoneri have determined the Brazilian winger as their primary target in the transfer market, ahead of Alessio Cerci and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
However, for the 23-year-old’s current Coach, the advise is not to consider leaving Ukraine just yet.

“Take another year of the Champions League with us and you will be perfect,” Lucescu has told both Costa and fellow Brazilian Alex Teixeira through an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I am only proud if one of my players was to go to a big club. But I want a deal to be done in the right way, where the team is concerned.
“For me, he is stronger than James Rodriguez.”
