Venezia Coach Serse Cosmi did not hold back after losing a relegation playout to Salernitana. “I want to vomit. They wanted blood and they got it.”
The Serie B playout wasn’t going to go ahead at all, but was hastily rearranged after Palermo won their appeal against demotion to last place for financial irregularities.

“To analyse what happened, you need to evaluate both legs. Salernitana had overall three shots on goal and they scored twice,” Cosmi said in his Press conference.
“We were able to go ahead today, went close to adding a second. Salernitana played only to reach penalties and they achieved it. This is a sporting drama. They wanted blood and they got it.
“I am not bitter about this. No, I’d describe it as making me want to vomit. There are players crying in the dressing room. I haven’t seen enough people stand up and say this playout shouldn’t have gone ahead.”
