Beneamata legend Mario Corso would be surprised if Fabio Capello turned up at Inter in the near future.

The Italian is being suggested as a possible successor to Claudio Ranieri at the Meazza, but Corso has his doubts.

“It’s normal that he’s making the news because of his name,” the 70-year-old told TMW on Thursday afternoon. “It immediately rises to the fore.

“However, I don’t think he’ll go to the Nerazzurri – even if he is a man with a thousand resources and he’s full of surprises.

“After all, he once said that he would never take charge of Juventus…”

Corso, a former midfielder, spent 16 years at Inter as a player before he ended his career with two seasons at Genoa.

It is unclear what the future holds for Capello after the former Milan, Juventus, Roma and Real Madrid boss resigned as England manager on Wednesday.
