There are now under 10,000 people hospitalised in Italy with COVID-19, there were 156 deaths, while for the first time under one per cent of swabs tested positive.

Another 51,051 are at home self-isolating with minor symptoms (a drop of 1,401 from yesterday’s tally).
The excellent news is that out of 71,679 tests performed since yesterday, only 642 came back positive, so it’s the first time since the crisis began that the figure of positive tests has been under one per cent (0.9 per cent).
All but four regions – Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna and Liguria – registered under 50 new cases in 24 hours.
There are currently 60,960 active cases of COVID-19 in the country, with 32,486 deaths and 134,560 who made a full recovery.
Lombardy is responsible for half the total cases since the pandemic began in Italy on February 20, but the numbers are gradually falling there too.
Over the last 24 hours, there were 316 new positive cases out of 14,702 swab tests.
There have been 65 deaths in the region since yesterday, while 207 people were given the all-clear.
The current figures have 26,715 active cases in the region, with 15,727 deaths and 43,649 patients who made a full recovery.
