“Thohir is a great worker,” Cordoba said. “He never stops. He can bring a new idea of football to Inter that unites a modern vision with all the principles that made us fall in love with the sport.
“That is to say, love and passion for our colours.
“I found no difficulties coming here because I arrived with my wife. I came to secure great results with the team.
“I never thought I would win what I did. I imagined that if I even won one trophy with Inter I would have been very happy. Imagine how I felt after!
“Mourinho’s last words before the Champions League final? I’m sorry but I can’t say, the words we exchanged before every match will remain between us.
“But what I can say is the look of everyone in that dressing room that night said a lot. We knew we were on the verge of writing one of the most important pages of Italian football history.
“Team manager? My responsibilities are linked to the organisation of the team’s lives. I am very happy with it.
“The group is very united and that helps me to work better, without a doubt.
“I think we have good depth defensively. Our defenders have different qualities that can negate all different types of forwards in Italian football.
“We are adding the experience of Vidic to that next year, so I would say we are very well set.
“From a sporting point of view, I’d say it’s better to discuss the team’s results at the end of the season.”
Finally, Cordoba passed comment on former teammate Javier Zanetti, who has announced he will retire at the end of the season.
“Javier Zanetti. Words do not do justice to him. His actions as a player and a person and his behaviour say all that needs to be said for him. He is my friend.”
