Inter defender Ivan Ramiro Cordoba has written an open letter to fans announcing “the derby will be my last game as a player at San Siro.”
The veteran has been considering retirement for some time, although he did not confirm whether he would move on elsewhere.
“Dear fans, tomorrow on the occasion of the derby it will be my last game as a player at San Siro,” wrote Cordoba on the official club website.

“I chose to tell you this after talking with President Massimo Moratti, the directors and the Coach.
“Right now I am, as are all of you, concentrated on the game, but there will certainly be the time and place in the next few weeks to talk about my future and remember with great pleasure the 13 seasons we spent together.
“We experienced them with passion, respect and always sharing everything, from the difficult moments to the extraordinary victories.
“As with every match, tomorrow night we need your support.
