Closing out the second round of Coppa Italia matches is Sassuolo’s clash with Spezia and Torino’s duel with Frosinone.
The match between Sassuolo and Spezia kicks off at 17.00 UK time, and Torino host Frosinone later on at 20.00.
Sassuolo’s first round match saw them cruise past Cosenza 5-2 on August 13. Things were a little more difficult for Spezia, who had to beat Venezia on penalties after being held to a 2-2 draw. The winner of this match will face Atalanta in the Round of 16 on January 2.
The Neroverdi cannot count on Pedro Obiang, Matheus Henrique and Agustin Alvarez, all of whom are out injured. The Aquilotti are without Przemyslaw Wisniewski and Lukas Muhl.
Torino secured a tense 2-1 win over FeralpiSalo in their first round match, whilst Frosinone squeezed past Pisa with a 1-0 victory. The winner of this game will battle it out with Napoli in the Round of 16 on December 19.
The Granata are unable to rely on the injured Brandon Soppy, Perr Schuurs and Koffi Djidji, whilst the Giallazzurri don’t have Abdou Harroui, Francesco Gelli and Sergio Kalaj.
