Atalanta defender Matteo Contini has admitted that the 3-2 defeat to Roma last weekend is still hurting.
A late Vasilis Torosidis goal gave the Giallorossi all three points at Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.
And the 32-year-old has apologised to supporters for the result, but hopes they can bounce back this weekend against Siena.
“We are in a period of difficulty at the moment,” he told reporters. “Losing against the Giallorossi is still sore.
“We hoped to get the equaliser, but we couldn't manage it. I did not have my best game and I want to say sorry to the fans for losing at home.
“Now we face Siena – a team who are one of our direct rivals. We will have to fight for the victory.”
