And since becoming a free-agent, Conte has consistently been linked with the Rossoneri, who are under new ownership and making sweeping changes at boardroom level.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport claims that Conte will attend a meeting with new Milan general manager Leonardo next week, with a view to potentially taking over in the San Siro dugout.
This is in spite of comments made in recent days by Leonardo himself that Gattuso’s position as Coach is safe.
New club President Paolo Scaroni has also insisted that the current boss is going nowhere, with Gattuso currently presiding over Milan’s pre-season preparations.
The Italian daily states that if Conte comes to an agreement with the San Siro club, he will replace Gattuso in charge after the end of the club’s tour of the United States.
