Inter coach Antonio Conte has vowed to ‘do everything in my power’ to win the Europa League this month, starting with the match against Getafe in the last 16 on Wednesday.
Conte prepares his team to face the Azulones in Gelsenkirchen and wants to lead Inter all the way in the competition, continuing with a Final Eight in Germany.
“I’ll do everything in my power,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia. “We are here with the lads to get the most out of it, then it’s inevitable that there are others who would like to steal our idea, but we must take step by step.”
If Inter quality, they will face the winner between Bayer Leverkusen and Rangers in the quarter-finals. The Germans lead 3-1 after the first leg in Scotland and are expected to advance.
But Conte wants to focus on the task at hand before looking at the potential opponents in the Final Eight.
“Tomorrow’s game will be very difficult, and we must think about this match, then we will eventually think about the next one.
“But everything depends on tomorrow, we’re either in or we’re out and we have to do well to demonstrate our desire to advance and overcome our opponents.”
