With reports linking Antonio Conte with the Paris Saint-Germain job, inevitably there are also rumours he will reunite with his old Inter striker Romelu Lukaku, who is struggling at Chelsea.
Despite only taking over the Tottenham Hotspur role in November, Italian tactician Conte is said to be considering a new experience.
It is the same problem that caused him to walk away from Inter after winning the Serie A title, namely a disagreement over transfer strategy and how much investment the club could afford.
With that in mind, Le Parisien and several English papers now suggest Conte is offering himself to PSG, with Mauricio Pochettino potentially replacing him at Spurs.
Inevitably, the media has been drawing up Conte’s shopping list and the first name on it for Sport Mediaset is Lukaku, who he pushed so hard to sign at Inter in the first place.
By his own admission, Lukaku had the form of his career under Conte, including guidance from nutritionists and fitness coaches, not to mention the kind of tactical understanding and service that the Belgian simply has not found with Thomas Tuchel.
With Mauro Icardi, Kylian Mbappé and even Neymar reportedly on the way out of PSG, Lukaku would be an intriguing option.
