Congratulations poured in from all over Italy and Europe for Carlo Ancelotti, who made history winning his fourth Champions League between Milan and Real Madrid.
The tactician turns 63 next month and had already lifted the trophy for Milan in 2002-03 and 2006-07, then Real Madrid in 2013-14.
He became the first coach ever to win four editions of the Champions League/European Cup, leaving behind Bob Paisley and Zinedine Zidane on three.
This season he was also the first coach ever to win all five of the European big league titles in Italy, France, England, Germany and Spain.
Messages of congratulations poured in from Italy boss Roberto Mancini, his former Milan teammate Franco Baresi and even Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Evidently there are no hard feelings, considering De Laurentiis sacked Ancelotti as Napoli boss in December 2019.
“Great Carlo, an absolutely deserved Champions League!”
