There are conflicting reports over Tottenham’s offer for Erik Lamela, but Roma intercept their bid for Todor Nedelev.
There are conflicting reports over Tottenham’s offer for Erik Lamela, but Roma intercept their bid for Todor Nedelev.
The two clubs have been in negotiations for weeks over Lamela and a deal is thought to be imminent, though Lamela is in the squad for this evening’s trip to Livorno.
According to the Daily Mail, the Spurs offer on the table is €29m (£24.9m), but that is considerably lower than the original €35m price-tag (£30m).
Italian newspapers maintain the proposal is closer to €30m plus €5m in performance-related bonuses (£25.7m plus £4.3m).
That would still be considered low by the Giallorossi supporters, who are increasingly angry at the mass sales at the club this summer.
Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia also claim that Roma are trying to intercept Tottenham’s talks for Bulgarian playmaker Nedelev.
The 20-year-old has been in negotiations with Spurs director Franco Baldini, but so far there is no agreement for the €5.87m-rated Botev Plovdiv starlet.
Roma would prefer to sign Nedelev and send him out on loan to Chievo so he can gain Serie A experience first.
