Albanian oil baron Rezart Taci could reportedly face competition from the likes of Massimo Moratti should he wish to take over at Parma.
Reports yesterday indicated that Taci was in advanced negotiations with current Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi with a view to taking over a controlling interest in the Ducali.
However, the latest rumours suggest that the Albanian could be rivalled by a number of other potential bidders should Ghirardi be willing to sell up.
Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport report one alternative bid likely from Massimo Zanetti, owner of the Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group, which claims to be the biggest coffee company in the world with over €1bn in revenues last year.
Zanetti was interested in buying Bologna outright before the Rossoblu were acquired by American lawyer Joe Tacopina, and it is thought the coffee magnate retains an interest in owning an Italian club.
Gazzetta di Parma however, believes that former Inter patron Massimo Moratti could even make a surprise return to calcio after stepping down as honorary Inter President last month.
The newspaper claims that Moratti had dinner with Parma representatives including Ghirardi with a view to investing in the club.
While it is not clear what role Moratti would take on, the Parma-based newspaper believes that the tycoon may take on a minority stake to prop up Ghirardi.
Finally, Francesco Becchetti, owner of Leyton Orient in the English League 1 is also believed to be interested.
Becchetti controls the Becchetti Energy Group, which works to develop renewable energies.
