City’s interest in the Napoli striker is well known, but so far they have been put off by his €62m buy-out clause – around £53m.
Today the Daily Mirror suggest there are negotiations in place to lower that price-tag and simultaneously provide the Partenopei with a ready-made replacement.
Dzeko would be included in the transfer plus a £35m cash sum to tempt Napoli into releasing Cavani.
There are some stumbling blocks, as Dzeko is also a target for Borussia Dortmund and Juventus” data-scaytid=”20″>Juventus.
Cavani is currently the Serie A top scorer on 30 goals and the Partenopei are heading for the Champions League next term.
