Cristian Chivu has revealed that the Wesley Sneijder situation at Inter is 'a touchy subject'.
The Dutch midfielder left the Nerazzurri last week for Galatasaray, having been offered a new deal at San Siro with a reduced salalry.
And the Romanian defender has conceded that he does not judge the 28-year-old for leaving.
“It is a touchy subject,” he told Inter Channel. “Some players have been offered a contract worth a certain amount of money.
“So it's difficult to go back to them in the same period and reduce that amount.
“I do not judge anyone in that situation because different people react in different ways.
“I personally feel at home at Inter – I believe in this project. I feel the affection of this club, so I will stay.”
The former Ajax man then commented on his relationship with current boss Andrea Stramaccioni.
“I am very happy with Stramaccioni. He may be young. But he is very well prepared.
“He gets along with everyone because he talks to all of us – there is a lot of communication, and we try to help him with our experience.
“I believe that considering the changes that have been made at the club, we have done well this season.
“It has been a difficult period – a time for reconstruction. But we have the ability to fight on all fronts.”
