Ahead of the Serie A match between Sassuolo and the San Siro club on Sunday, Neroverdi chief and Milan fan Squinzi expressed his belief that Italian football will not be the same without the likes of Berlusconi and Massimo Moratti involved.
“It is difficult to understand what is going on, even as a Milan fan,” Squinzi told Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“For sure, the Chinese are not investing out of passion but for business reasons.
“It is the same issue at Inter. Without the passion of Moratti and Berlusconi it won’t be the same.”
Squinzi then denied ever having thought about acquiring the Rossoneri for himself.
“Have I ever thought of buying Milan? It’s not a small commitment, especially if the figures we hear about are real. I haven’t worked a lifetime in order to buy Milan.”
