The Bentegodi outfit’s average age of 30.6 is almost a full two years older than a collection of four teams joint in second place with an average of 28.9.
Those sides are Turkey’s Akhisar Belediyespor, Spain’s Rayo Vallecano and two Cypriot teams, Apoel and AEK Larnaca.
Albano Bizzarri, the 38-year-old goalkeeper, is currently Chievo's oldest player but told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I feel good mentally and physically, as if I was still 20."
