Napoli flew into second place and Edinson Cavani believes they can win the Scudetto. “It’s not such an impossible dream…”

The Partenopei were the only top four side who won in Serie A Week 14, taking them within two points of leaders Juventus.

“I didn’t come here to do more than Diego Armando Maradona. I just wanted to enter the hearts of the people and the history of the club,” Cavani told Chi magazine.

“The Scudetto? It’s not such an impossible dream… The sides in front of us can be caught. Let’s just say that my team and I are on it.”

Cavani can’t seem to stop scoring at the moment and is happy off the field too, as his wife is expecting their second child. He confirmed it will be another son, set to be named Lucas.

“This is an exceptional period of form for me and I have to thank my family, as they give me all the strength I need in the sweetness of my wife and the joy of my son. Also my faith in Jesus, who is my idol. God fills us with talents and we must work hard to make the most of them so they may act as testimony to His greatness.”

However, El Matador takes on a different personality once he walks into a match situation.

“When I am on the pitch, I want to win at all costs and really struggle to swallow a defeat. A player can be as meek as a dove off the field, but on it we must become eagles.

“As for my private time, I am really not remotely interested in showbiz. I don’t need a Ferrari or a PlayStation. I prefer to spend my time in nature. When I retire, I will return to Uruguay and work with animals.”
