Napoli ace Edinson Cavani has three targets – to finish second in Serie A this term, win the Capocannoniere crown and lift the Ballon d'Or.

Speaking with Radio Marte on Thursday, the revelation has spoken of his hopes after a scintillating first season at the San Paolo.

"Now we have to try to finish second and become vice-champions," said the summer signing from Palermo, whose Napoli side are just one point behind second placed Inter.

"We'll draw conclusions at the end of the season, but our objective has always been to finish second or third. We still believe."

Cavani has been Napoli's main inspiration this term and he currently leads the top scorers' chart with Antonio Di Natale thanks to their 26 goals.

"First let's qualify for the Champions League and then, if I can win the scorers' crown, I will be happy.

"I've told Di Natale that he's already won it in the past so he should leave it to me this time. I'm fighting against Toto who is a great professional."

The Uruguayan has done his reputation no harm at all this term thanks to his displays and he hopes his ability will one day lead to an individual honour.

"My dreams are always team successes, but on a personal level I would like to win the Golden Boot or Golden Ball," he added.

"I saw it at Kaka's house, but I didn't want to touch it as I'd prefer to wait for my own."
