Catania on Lopez future

Catania transfer chief Pietro Lo Monaco insists the price has to be right if a club wants to sign Maxi Lopez.

The Argentine striker was expected to leave the Sicilian side over the summer, but Lo Monaco claims that the player may stay.

"Maxi Lopez continues to be our principal attacker and he'll remain that," he told Itasportpress.

"Only if we were to receive an offer that we couldn't refuse would we consider the idea of his sale.

"If he remains then we certainly wouldn't be disappointed."

Lopez, linked with Juventus last January, is thought to be of interest to Serie A side Fiorentina after their disappointing campaign.
