Carvalho: ‘San Siro is difficult’

William Carvalho expects “a difficult atmosphere” for Portugal at San Siro tomorrow, as they face Italy in the Nations League.

Around 70,000 fans are expected for the match, which the Azzurri have to win to have any chance of reaching the finals.

Italy have never lost at San Siro, with 31 wins and 12 draws in 42 matches so far.

“It’s a stadium where great players have played,” Carvalho acknowledged in the pre-match Press conference.

“It’ll be a difficult atmosphere for us, but we need to concentrate on our game and do our job.

“We’re not thinking about the next game, every game is about winning and tomorrow we want to get three points to qualify.

“Italy have a lot of history and are difficult to play against, but we’ll try to win the game.”
