Russia will now fly to Brazil to finalise their plans for the tournament. They will contest Group H of the competition along with Belgium, Algeria and South Korea.
This is the second time in succession Capello has been present at a World Cup finals, with the 67-year-old having presided over England’s unsuccessful campaign in South Africa last time around.
