Vincent Candela warns Roma “need to buy someone like Gabriel Batistuta and not give Edin Dzeko another chance.”
The former Giallorossi star is keeping a close eye on his old club, where he played during the first spell under Luciano Spalletti.
“If I were the club, I’d get rid of Dzeko,” Candela told Radio Centro Suono Sport.
“Roma need to buy someone like Batistuta, a hitman, a striker who can be decisive in front of goal.

“Roma need to buy someone like Batistuta, a hitman, a striker who can be decisive in front of goal. I wouldn’t give Dzeko another chance, because Roma can’t wait for anybody, the time has come to win.”
There are offers on the table for Miralem Pjanic, Radja Nainggolan and Kostas Manolas.
“In my view Pjanic is a great player, but if one of the big players between Manolas, Pjanic and Nainggolan had to go, I’d lose the Bosnian.
“Nainggolan impressed me the most, as he is so versatile and can even play as a trequartista in an attacking mode.
“I wouldn’t understand the sale of any of these players if Roma really do want to win. I hope Lucas Digne can stay at Roma, as he has improved a great deal tactically under Spalletti, but I don’t think he’s worth more than €8-9m.
“He wouldn’t find much playing time at Paris Saint-Germain anyway, so I think he’ll stay in the end.”
