The President of River Plate raised doubts over Esteban Cambiasso’s future by claiming “he’ll play in the United States.”
Cambiasso has been at San Siro since joining as a free agent from Real Madrid in July 2004.
“I would really love to bring him back here, but when he leaves Inter he will continue to play in the United States,” River Plate President Rodolfo D’Onofrio told Telam in Argentina.
Cambiasso turns 34 in August and his contract expires in June, so it is entirely possible this will be his final campaign at Inter.
According to D’Onofrio, ‘Cuchu’ has already decided his future will be in the MLS.
