Cagliari confirmed there is a deal in place for Danilo Avelar to Torino in part-exchange for Antonio Barreca.
Avelar has been one of the most impressive figures in the Sardinian squad, but was unable to avoid their relegation into Serie B.
“The Avelar-Barreca operation is true,” said director of sport Stefano Capozucca in a Press conference today.
“Barreca is a 20-year-old who last season was among the best full-backs in Lega Pro with Cittadella.”

Sky Sport Italia had earlier reported that Avelar would go to Torino in exchange for €2m plus bonuses and the loan with option to buy of Barreca.
Avelar is a 26-year-old Brazilian left-back who can also play in a more advanced role.
