The most notable is that in Italy an entire squad and staff must be quarantine for 15 days if there is a positive coronavirus test, whereas in Germany it should just be the individual.
However, even that is not entirely true, because the matter ultimately is decided by local health authorities in Germany, who for example quarantined the whole Dynamo Dresden team when two players tested positive last week.
In their statement this afternoon, the Bundesliga confirmed they will follow the IFAB allowance and give clubs the chance to make five substitutions rather than the usual three.
This should help reduce injuries when playing every three days in the peak of summer.
Another change is that games can be moved on short notice to neutral venues if there is a spike in coronavirus cases around the area of the original fixture or is recommended by the local health authorities.
The intention is to complete the fixture list, deciding a title winner, relegation and promotion, but if the season is forced to stop earlier, a more detailed plan to calculate all these situations will be decided over the next few weeks.
