Brocchi: ‘San Siro return emotional’

Returning to the San Siro as Milan Coach ‘will be very emotional’ says Cristian Brocchi, who calls it ‘a dream come true’.

The Rossoneri face Carpi in Serie A tomorrow evening and it will be Brocchi’s first home match since replacing Sinisa Mihajlovic on the bench.

“Returning to San Siro will be very emotional,” he said at today’s pre-match Press conference.

“It’s a dream come true, the fact of entering that stadium once again that has given me indescribable emotions.

“The hope is that there will be a crowd that wants to help the team and come out in support despite the disappointment about this difficult moment.

“Rather than asking for their help, it’s right that we help them to come close to us again.

“For now I can’t think about the Coppa Italia final, it’ll be the realisation of the work that began last Tuesday.

“There has been a sea change in the youth sector, above all on the methodology level. The fact that the youth Coach has become the first team Coach is a great thing. The hope is to earn another season with the first team to be able to create a link with the youth sector.

“Honda? He’s training well and will have his chance. Everyone is training well, logically over the course of two matches you can’t make 21 players happy and at least initially this is a bit of a problem. Honda is giving me a lot and the hope is to give him space like before.”
