Brocchi: ‘Milan haven’t asked me’

Milan youth team Coach Cristian Brocchi said “nobody has spoken to me yet” about replacing Pippo Inzaghi.

The axe is hovering over SuperPippo’s head after last night’s 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona, which saw them concede at the 95th minute.

While assistant manager Mauro Tassotti is the favourite, current Primavera boss Brocchi is gaining traction.

The axe is hovering over SuperPippo’s head after last night’s 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona, which saw them concede at the 95th minute.

While assistant manager Mauro Tassotti is the favourite, current Primavera boss Brocchi is gaining traction.

“I am going through this difficult moment as all Milan fans are. Everyone wants to see a winning Milan and there is a little sadness,” Brocchi told Sky Sport Italia.

He was commenting after his Milan side lost the Primavera derby 2-1 to Inter.

“Would I accept a proposal to train Milan? I am a club man. I want what is best for Milan. I’m very proud of what I’m doing with the Primavera and it’s great work.

“I think the Coach in charge so far, Pippo, has always given his all to get out of this difficult moment.

“Nobody has spoken to me about it yet. I repeat, I am the Primavera Coach and I think that will continue to be the case.”
