Bonucci linked with Genoa as Tottenham push for Dragusin

According to Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Genoa consider signing Leonardo Bonucci as a replacement for Radu Drgusin, who may join Tottenham for €30m in January.

Multiple sources in Italy claim Tottenham are leading the race to sign Dragusin in the winter transfer window.

A product of Juventus Academy, Dragusin’s agent has recently claimed that his client will only leave Genoa for a Premier League club or top Italian sides like Inter or Milan.

Sky Sport Italia reports Tottenham are preparing an offer in the region of €30m, while according to Tuesday’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport (page four), Spurs’ opening bid will be close to €25m.

Napoli are also interested in Dragusin but according to Il Corriere dello Sport Partenopei directors ‘didn’t expect’ such a high asking price from Genoa.

The Rome-based paper adds Genoa have already identified Bonucci as Dragusin’s potential replacement. The former Juventus star has six months left in his contract with Union Berlin but could leave on a free transfer this month.

Bonucci had been linked with a move to Roma, but he’s been dropped by Giallorossi directors following fans’ protests regarding his potential transfer to the Stadio Olimpico.
