Bill McMurdo, the agent of Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson, has confirmed the serious interest from Milan and Juventus, revealing the price they’d need to pay to secure his signature.
The Scottish midfielder joined the Rossoblu from Aberdeen FC last summer in a deal worth around €3.5m. Since his arrival, Ferguson has impressed with his contributions to both the offensive and defensive play under Thiago Motta, scoring three goals across 17 Serie A games.
Speaking to Record, McMurdo confirmed the interest in his client Ferguson and explained how much Bologna want for the Scot.
“There is interest from Milan and Juventus. Bologna are open to everything. I have people working for me in Italy and they have already received requests.
“I think they’ll be looking for at least £8m. Then there is Bologna, who sold Hickey for £20m after he only played 48 games for them.
“Ferguson deserves the best. He has learnt the language and a new culture, this has been good for him. He is very professional, he has a class of his own.”
During his time with Aberdeen, Ferguson scored 37 goals and provided 23 assists in 169 appearances across all competitions.
The Scottish midfielder is contracted to Bologna until June 2026 and has an estimated market value of around €4-5m.
He has already started to break in the Scotland national team, making four caps following his debut in September 2021.
