Bologna's new owner Massimo Zanetti claims he decided not to take sole control of the club because he is "not a wealthy fool."
The Segafredo coffee magnate completed the takeover at the weekend, heading a group of local investors who dug deep into their pockets to save Bologna.
"Bologna is not ours, but the city's and the fans'," he said.
Asked about the novel way his bid was structured, Zanetti replied: "It's a new thing for Italy."

Asked about the novel way his bid was structured, Zanetti replied: "It's a new thing for Italy."
When pressed as to why he didn't take sole control of the club, he snapped. "Because I am not a wealthy fool.
"I am here now. I have put money into the club and I want to give Bologna stability for many years."
