Bologna: Ongoing talks with Nottingham Forest for three players, Fulham target Orsolini set to extend

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fulham target Riccardo Orsolini will extend his contract with Bologna while the Rossoblu are in talks with Nottingham Forest for three players, including ex-Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler.

The Swiss international joined Forest from La Dea last summer but could soon return to Italy. According to Wednesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 22), Freuler has been offered to Bologna as part of the deal to sign Nicolas Dominguez, but Thiago Motta doesn’t want to part ways with the Argentinean.

On the other hand, the club would consider an offer in the region of €15m for Dominguez. According to the report, Motta is also an admirer of 22-year-old Forest midfielder Danilo who is also involved in talks between the two clubs.

The Rossoblu are set to announce Swiss international Jesper Karlsson from Az Alkmaar on a €11m deal. The 25-year-old underwent his medical on Tuesday.

Orsolini is set to extend his contract at the Stadio Dall’Ara until 2027. He had been linked with a move to Fulham, but Bologna have offered him a new €1.8m-a-year deal, managing to raise their offer after parting ways with Marko Arnautovic, Roberto Soriano and Nicola Sansone. Orsolini’s current deal expires in June 2024.

According to Gazzetta, Bologna have also targeted Leicester City’s left-back Victor Kristiansen who could replace the departing Charalampos Lykogiannis.
