Bologna hint at Prandelli, Montella

Bologna director Pantaleo Corvino rules out Didier Drogba and “won’t confirm or deny” talks with Cesare Prandelli and Vincenzo Montella.

The Rossoblu sacked Coach Delio Rossi last week and brought in Roberto Donadoni, who won his debut match 3-0 against Atalanta.

“We hope this victory can serve as a morale booster so the team can fight for its Serie A place with a more relaxed state of mind,” director of sport Corvino told Radio Sportiva.

“We hope this victory can serve as a morale booster so the team can fight for its Serie A place with a more relaxed state of mind,” director of sport Corvino told Radio Sportiva.

“When performances don’t correspond to results, we hope that things will change, but at a certain point in this football world we have to make painful choices. The fact Rossi and Donadoni had dinner together proves the quality of the people we chose.”

There were reports Bologna were in negotiations with Prandelli and ex-Fiorentina boss Montella.

“I will not confirm, nor deny anything. A director cannot come to the club with only one Coach on the list. He looks at the market and from there a decision is made, shared by everyone.”

It was suggested this week that Bologna could bring Drogba on loan from Montreal Impact, as both clubs are owned by Joey Saputo.

“We never spoke to the President about this.”
